Portable telescope – for moon nights, planets and birdwatching by day

Portable telescope for clear nights in the backyard or on the road

A small telescope you can take to the yard, a beach or a dark country road. Point it at the moon and the craters show up. Point it at a treeline by day and you can watch birds.

Why choose this telescope?

It is light enough to grab on a whim and quick to focus. A clear evening turns into a viewing session without much setup.

• Travel size: fits in a backpack or the trunk of a car.
• Quick focus: the focus knob brings the image sharp in a few turns.
• Night and day: for the moon and bright planets, and for birds and landscapes.
• Steady on a tripod: mounts on a standard photo tripod for a calmer view.

Seeing Saturn as a small dot with a ring never really gets old.

Choose a spot away from streetlights and give your eyes a few minutes to adjust. At higher magnification the tripod version is the more relaxed way to look. Never point the telescope at the sun.
