Travertine Table Lamp – Small House or Cube Shape with a Rechargeable Battery

Travertine table lamp – a small stone house that lights up a quiet corner

This little lamp is carved from natural travertine and comes in two shapes: a simple house with a pitched roof, or a plain cube. It runs on a built-in rechargeable battery, so you can set it on a nightstand, a shelf or an entryway table without looking for a wall socket.

Why choose this travertine table lamp?

Travertine is a porous limestone, and no two blocks look the same. Every lamp has its own pattern of small holes and soft veining, which gives it the calm, irregular character of wabi-sabi design.

• Natural stone: carved from real travertine, so the pores and veins differ from piece to piece.
• Two shapes: the house shape feels homely on a bedside table, the cube suits a Japandi or minimalist room.
• No cord: the built-in battery recharges, which leaves the surface free of cables.
• Adjustable light: set it brighter for a desk or lower for a soft evening glow.
• Low power use: it draws little energy, so a charge goes a fair way.

Switched off, it still reads as a small stone sculpture, which is half the charm.

At under 4 inches tall, it is an accent light rather than a reading lamp. Put one next to the bed, on a console in the hallway or among the books on a shelf, where a small warm spot of light makes the room feel finished. It also makes a thoughtful gift for someone who likes natural materials and simple shapes.
